San Diego Zoo & Dave 'n Buster's

19. Visit the SD Zoo.
32. Take Taylor out to dinner.

Last weekend was my turn to go down to Oceanside. Taylor worked on Saturady, but he was supposed to be home by about 4:30, so I got to his house about a quarter to 3. He didn't end up getting home til 7! I was so annoyed by the time he finally got home. I hate that his schedule at his job is always up in the air. I swear he has to sign his soul away to that place in order to get a job offer. Doesn't matter what day or what time of day it is, he's always expected to be free to work. Ugh!
Anyway, when he finally got home, we decided to have dinner at Buca di Beppo where he poured his beer all over my lap! I was so shocked and confused, all I could do was laugh hysterically. He's sipping on his beer one second, the next second it's all over MY lap! I really could not understand how it ended up on my lap and nothing on him! So I walked out of the restaurant looking like I peed all the way down my pants.

The next day, we were debating on either going to the horse races or the SD Zoo. Obviously, we decided to go to the zoo and the horse races another day. To my knowledge, I've never been to the SD Zoo, so I was really into it. The gorillas were awesome. The baby gorillas were so playful! There was a huge crowd laughing and watching them play. The older ones were being lazy haha. More my style!

My favorites were the elephants and lions. I could've stood there and watched them all day. They didn't even do anything, really. Just walked around and stood there, but I find them so interesting. Unless you're at a zoo, how often do you come across elephants and lions?!

We saw tons of other animals, including ones I've never heard of, and I took tons of other pictures, but it's all too much to put on here! If you have facebook, I put all of my pictures up on there. Anyway, by the end of our trip to the zoo we were exhausted, but we decided to find some place nearby to have dinner.

So, we ended up at Dave 'n Buster's! We both have been inside, but neither of us had actually eaten there or played games. We ate dinner, and after a year of being together, Taylor has already gotten so used to the fact that he pays for dinner, so he grabbed the check right away. I tried to distract him by handing him my phone and letting him sit their confused for a second, and I took the check from him and slid my card inside. FINALLY! I paid for dinner!

Oh! I also finally started taking daily multivitamins. I bought Walgreens A thru Z multivitamins or something like that. Not sure what's supposed to happen now, but let's hope I become a little healthier!
97. Start taking multivitamins.

Anniversary Weekend <3

22. Buy the large Coach Zoe in black.
29. Go wine tasting in Temecula.

This weekend was mine and Taylor's 1 year anniversary. He got me the Coach purse I've been wanting! I knew he would get it for me, but I didn't want to get my hopes up until I actually saw it. I originally wanted the all black one, but I guess that one was sold out, and the only one left he could find is the gray and black one. I actually kind of like the gray and black better, because you can actually see the C's. The all black one hides them.
Anyhoo, my gift to him was taking him wine tasting in Temecula. If you know me at all, you know I really don't drink, and I definitely don't drink wine! It was a really cool experience none the less. We visited Callaway, Wilson Creek, Faulkner, and Maurice Car'rie. Callaway is owned by the same guy started Callaway golf clubs and Callaway Corvettes. Can you imagine how freakin' loaded that guy is?! Just at this first winery, I was already getting drunk! 6 tastings hits you pretty quickly.

Wilson Creek was my favorite. I decided I want to get married there haha. It's so beautiful! It's family owned and the couple that started it is a really cute, old couple. We had a catered lunch there and the couple talked to us about their history and the wine. The almond champagne was so tasty, but by that time I had so much wine, I couldn't drink anymore!

Next, we hit Faulkner. It was nice that it was up on a hilltop, but we weren't too impressed with that place. It's amazing how the first 2 wineries tired us out so much. By the time we got to this third one, we were already so tired and had a little bit of a wine headache, that we were ready to go home, but we still had one more winery to go!

Lastly, we visited Maurie Car'rie. I guess they're known for their garlic brie and sourdough bread. Taylor and I ordered some, and it was soooo good! The brie is baked into the middle of the bread. It's like a big ball of heart attack, but it's still delicious. :) After the tour was done and we were on our way home, I knocked out immediately and then went straight to bed for a few more hours. Next time we go on a wine tasting tour, we're either taking our first tastings slowly, or only visiting 2 wineries!
